September 10, 2012: Today Julia reached a new career-high World Ranking of 157!


September 1, 2012: Julia fell to Yanina Wickmayer in the first round of the Main Draw of the US Open by a score of 5-7 2-6.


August 26, 2012: Julia qualified for the Main Draw of the US Open! Julia won three qualifier matches last week in New York and will play in the Maid Draw of a Grand Slam for the first time on Monday when she plays the tournament's #25 seed Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium.


August 10, 2012: Julia continued her hot streak with a Semifinals finish in the Vancouver, Canada $100K ITF tournament! In her last four tournaments Julia has two Semifinals appearances, one Finals appearance, and one tournament Championship!


July 29, 2012: Julia won the Lexington, USA $50K ITF tournament today with a 6-3 6-0 victory over Johanna Konta in the Finals!


July 20, 2012: After advancing to the Finals in Waterloo, Julia won three matches at the Granby, Canada, ITF $25K and made it to the Semifinals!

May 4, 2012: Julia fell to Alexandra Kiick in the first round of the ITF $50K tournament in Melbourne, Florida.


May 2, 2012: Julia and doubles partner Elena Bovina advanced to the finals at the Charlottesville, Virginia ITF $50K tournament! Julia and Elena won their first three matches all in straight sets, and knocked off the tournament's two seed and three seed en route to the finals. In the championship match, Maria Sanchez and Yasmin Schnack got the win 6-2 6-2.


May 1, 2012: Julia won three matches at the ITF $50K tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia! In the first two rounds of qualifiers Julia beat Maria Fernanda Alves of Brazil and Valeria Solovieva is straight sets, before falling to Alexandra Kiick in three sets. As a lucky loser, Julia took advantage of the opportunity and won her first round main draw match against number six seed Erika Sema of Japan, before falling in a third set tiebreak to Chanel Simmonds of South Africa in the second round.


April 18, 2012: Julia fell in the second round of qualifiers 3-6 4-6 to Valeria Solovieva at the $50k ITF in Alabama.


April 17, 2012: Julia beat Epiphany Turner 6-2 6-1 in the first round of qualifiers in Dothan, Alabama.


April 3, 2012: Julia lost to Laura Thorpe 5-7 1-6 in the first round of the $25k ITF event in Tessenderlo, Belgium.


March 21, 2012: Julia fell to four seed Annika Beck 5-7 3-6 in the Quarterfinals in Bath, Great Britain.


March 20, 2012: In the second round of the $25k in Bath, Great Britain, Julia beat Katarzyna Piter of Poland 6-1 6-2!


March 19, 2012: Julia defeated Julia Kimmelmann of Germany 6-2 6-4 in Bath, Great Britain.


March 13, 2012: In the final round of qualifying in Clearwater, Julia lost to Olga Puchkova 3-6 2-6


March 12, 2012: Julia won her first round qualifying match in Clearwater, 6-2 7-6(3) against Paula Cristina Goncalves of Brasil!


March 8, 2012: Back on the road, now in Florida, Julia had a tough draw against the #2 seed in Fort Walton Beach, and fell by a final of 1-6 4-6 to Camila Giorgi of Italy.


January 13, 2012: In the second round of the Australian Open Qualifiers, Julia fell to Andrea Hlavackova, the number three seed, by a final of 5-7 2-6.


January 12, 2012: Julia won her first round match at the Australian Open Qualifiers! By a score of 6-1 3-6 6-3, Julia beat Rika Fujiwara of Japan.


January 3, 2012: In the first round of the ITF $50K event in Quanzhou, China, Julia lost in three sets to Yurika Sema 6-1 3-6 5-7.

November 25, 2011: In the second round of the ITF $25K event in Helsinki, Finland, Julia lost to Alexandra Artamonova 6-3 6-1.


November 23, 2011: In the first round of the ITF $25K event in Helsinki, Finland, Julia defeated Valeria Solovieva 6-4 6-4. Julia is the tournament's number four seed.


November 18, 2011: Julia fell to the number one seed, Lesia Tsurenko, 6-1 6-0 in the quarterfinals at the Slovak Open.


November 17, 2011: Update from the ITF $25K Slovak Open in Bratislava: As the seventh seed, Julia defeated Jana Cepelova 6-0 7-6 (4) to advance to the quarterfinals of the Slovak Open!


November 15, 2011: Update from the ITF $25K Slovak Open in Bratislava: Julia won her first round singles match today in straight sets 6-4 6-4 over Zuzana Luknarova! In the first round of doubles, Julia fell alongside teammate Alize Lim in a tiebreak 6-4 4-6 (10-3).

October 27, 2011: Julia fell in the Semifinals of the ITF $25K event in Netanya, Israel to Dinah Pfizenmaier of Germany in two tiebreaks, 7-6(3) 7-6(4).


October 26, 2011: In the Quarterfinals in Netanya, Julia won 6-1 6-4 over Keren Shlomo.


October 25, 2011: Julia did not lose a game in her second round match in Netanya, Israel, beating Valeria Patiuk of Israel 6-0 6-0.


October 24, 2011: Julia defeated Marina Shamayko of Russia in the first round of the ITF $25K in Netanya 6-4 6-3.


October 23, 2011: After dropping first round matches at ITF $50K events in Joue-Les-Tours and Limoges, France, Julia is back in action at home in Netanya, Israel. Julia is the #3 seed in the $25K tournament and will play Marina Shamayko of Russia in the first round.


Septetmber 28, 2011: In the second round of the ITF $25K in France, Julia lost to Tara Moore of Great Britain in three sets, 4-6 6-4 6-3.


Septetmber 27, 2011: Playing as the tournament's number five seed, Julia beat Nadezna Gorbachkova of Russia 6-1 3-6 6-3 in the first round of the Clermont-Ferrand, France ITF $25K tournament!


Septetmber 20, 2011: Returning to action after a three week break following the US Open, Julia played her first round match at the ITF $75K tournament in Shrewsbury, Great Britain, and fell 6-2 6-2 to Vitalia Diatchenko of Russia.


August 26, 2011: In a match originally scheduled for Thursday but postponed due to rain until today, Julia defeated Croatian Ajla Tomljanovic (6-3, 7-6) to advance into the Finals of the US Open women’s qualifying singles tournament. Hours later Julia played her second match of the day, this time against Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak, and lost (6-1, 6-4) to end her landmark run in Flushing Meadows.


August 24, 2011: Straight sets victory for Julia Glushko today at the US Open, defeating Ashleigh Barty of Australia (6-4, 6-4) in the first round of qualifiers. Round two's opponent will be Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak.


August 15, 2011: Julia moves up two spots to #173 this week in the WTA rankings.


August 10, 2011: Julia fell in opening round action today at the EmblemHealth Bronx Open, losing 6-7, 6-4, 6-0 to Australian Isabell Holland.

August 3, 2011: Julia wins again at the Odlum Brown VanOpen (Vancouver, Canada), defeating Canadian Sharon Fichman (6-3, 6-4) to advance to the second round to face Olivia Rogowska of Australia.


August 2, 2011: Julia advanced into the Main Draw of the 2011 Odlum Brown Vancouver Open today by defeating American Asia Muhammed in straight sets (6-4, 6-2). Julia will face Canadian Sharon Fichman Wednesday afternoon in the tournament's opening round.


August 1, 2011: Julia defeated Canadian Bittany Wowchuck (6-1, 6-3) in the second round of qualifying at the Vancouver ITF $100K event. Julia will play American Asia Muhammed in the final round of qualifying for a spot in the Main Draw.

July 31, 2011: Julia beat Canadian Tracy Dong 6-2 6-0 in the first round of qualifying at the Vancouver ITF $100K event. Julia takes on Brittany Wowchuck in the second round.


July 30, 2011: Julia arrived in Vancouver, Canada today for this week's ITF $100K event. Julia will play Canadian wildcard Tracy Dong in the first round of qualifiers.


July 23, 2011: Julia played American Ashley Weinhold today in qualifiers at the WTA Bank of the West Classic. Julia had four Aces and converted all three of her break points, but lost by a final of 7-5 6-3. Julia will next play in the ITF $100K event in Vancouver, Canada.


July 16, 2011: After defeating three Canadians at their home tournament, Julia fell in the Semifinals of the Granby ITF $25K to number one seed and the final remaining Canadian, Stephanie Dubois, 6-3 6-2. Up next is the WTA $721K Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, California!


July 15, 2011: With a 2-6 6-3 6-4 win over five seed Sharon Fichman, Julia is set for a Semifinal match in Granby, Canada against the number one seed, Stephanie Dubois.


July 14, 2011: Julia advanced to the Quarterfinals in Granby today with a 6-3 6-2 win over Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski. Up next is the five seed Sharon Fichman, who will be the third consecutive Canadian opponent for Julia this week.


July 13, 2011: After being knocked out of last week's event in Waterloo by Canadian wildcard Carol Zhao, Julia had her payback by defeating Zhao 6-0 6-2 in the first round of this week's ITF $25K tournament in Granby, Canada. Julia is seeded third.


July 6, 2011: Julia won her first round match at the Waterloo, Canada ITF $50K event outside of Toronto! Seeded 4th, Julia defeated American qualifier Elizabeth Lumpkin 6-4 6-4.


July 4, 2011: In the most current WTA World Rankings, which were released earlier today, Julia moved up nine spots to number 191 in the world!


July 1, 2011: Julia defeated local Isabel Rapisarda-Calvo in straight-sets, 6-2 7-6(1), in the second round of the ITF $50K event in Spain. The win places Julia in the Quarterfinals, where she will meet fourth-seed Elitsa Kostova of Bulgaria.


June 30, 2011: Seeded fifth, Julia won her first-round match at the ITF $50K event in Pozoblanco, Spain with a 2-6 6-4 7-6(4) defeat of Johanna Konta. Julia will play Spaniard Isabel Rapisarda-Calvo in the second round.
